The build
Nothing about a completed straw-panel home announces what it is made of. The render is the same lime or silicate render used on any masonry house, over the same wood-fibre board, under the same cladding options — timber, metal, brick, weatherboard.
What is different sits behind it: 400 mm of mechanically compressed straw storing roughly 115 kg of CO₂ per square metre of wall, certified for two hours of fire resistance, and quiet enough that the courtyard is the loudest thing you hear.
